Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances, Alex has had to withdraw from the event, however in his place we are screening the following:

THE ENDLESS WINTER; A VERY BRITISH SURF MOVIE – In 2012, British surfers Mark Harris and Mitch Corbett set out on a mission; to discover how Californian cool arrived on Britain’s bracing beaches, and grew from splashy summer fun, to a serious obsession with waves.

The film was made by two Somerset filmmakers who met through local community media centre The Engine Room. James Dean and Matt Crocker are inspired by unique characters, stories and moments in time, and have developed an ever-growing slate of feature documentaries. Endless Winter is not only a great film about surfing, it is a unique case study in how a film can find its audience, using a variety of platforms and different funding sources.

The National Schools Partnership will hold a panel discussion concerning the film ‘He Named me Malala’. The panel will be led by Phil Shepherd from Somerset Film.

BFI will also be holding a special screening event.

Youth and Music South West will be hosting a special interactive event in which music will be created for film as audiences watch.

Films will be screened from the Bath Film Festival in which Bridgwater College Music Technology students created soundtracks and SFX.

A Music Technology Exhibition will also be part of the festival, revealing exciting performances and work completed by Bridgwater College Music Technology students.

Ipad stands available to view throughout the event will exhibit further work by Bridgwater College Music Technology students.

A wrap party will form the climax of the event and feature exciting DJ and band performances from Bridgwater College Music and Music Technology students.
